Les cours de chant d'Arte Lirica Paris

My career on opera stages and in concert, as well as my experience as a vocal professor for opera stars and professionals at all levels, led me to found Arte Lirica Paris in order to transmit the teachings of the Scuola Italiana di Canto and to offer personalized career support to each artist.

Arte Lirica Paris’ Singing Lessons

Coaching of opera singers as well as the development of young singers define the lessons I give, which are directly inspired by the great Italian school of lyric art.

We welcome you in Paris for vocal lessons centered around operatic roles that you are going to interpret, as well as pieces you may be currently preparing for auditions and competitions.

You have the choice of my accompanying you, of my arranging for a pianist to accompany you, or of coming with a pianist of your own choice.

Arte Lirica Paris’ singing lessons are often accompanied by Mrs. Ayaka Niwano, piano accompanist at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, or by Mr. Paul Beynet, piano accompanist at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Boulogne-Billancourt.

Our lessons will take place in designated places, either in rooms put at our disposal or in rehearsal studios in the 5th and 15th arrondissements of Paris.

Arte Lirica Paris also proposes masterclasses in France and in Belgium.

My Teaching Background

The Scuola Italiana di Canto training was essentially transmitted to me through the teachings of Maestro Gino Bechi.

The precious guidance of this great baritone supported my training and my career as a professional operatic and concert artist, just as it currently and constantly nourishes my pedagogic approach.

Yvonne Pons, mezzo-soprano at the Opéra de Paris, a superb Amneris, made an essential contribution to my work, in bringing to it her great knowledge of diction in singing and her perfect mastery of the mechanisms of breathing.

More recently, I had the chance to work on the role of Maria Stuarda in Rome with Renata Scotto, to whom the quality of the vocal gesture and stylistic precision are very important. Finally, and with much happiness, I was able to work on the role of Tosca with Leyla Gencer, dazzling with talent and vocal elegance, in fascinating sessions at La Scala in Milan.
